Has it already been another month?

Happy 5th month birthday sweet girl!
She is eating cereal, eating some veggies, rolling over both ways, grabbing at EVERYTHING, and laughing SO hard out loud. She is such a joy. Jaelynn and Jake are the best big sister and brother. They really like playing with her now that she interacts with them more.

Oh YUCK!!!!

Most everyone knows...I DO NOT handle throw up well! I remember teaching a Pre-K afternoon class at Green Acres and when a child got sick I was running to the bathroom myself. Before Jason and I had kids the agreement was I would change poopy diapers and he had throw up duty! Well, let me just say he followed through like a champ last night!!!! Jaelynn came to my side of the bed a little before 1am with "Mommy, I just threw up in my bed. I tried to make it to the bathroom." Oh boy I am glad Jason heard her and jumped out of bed to help. He took off sheets, sprayed Lysol on everything, and put the sheets into the washer. Yeah for my Honey!! Jaelynn said,"Mommy, I feel so much better." She was fine this morning and has not run any fever. I hope we made the right choice to send her on to school. I wanted her to stay home. But- she was bouncing around this morning saying "No, I want to go -I feel good!" I really do think she ate TOO much junk yesterday and it did not settle well. I guess we will see if I get a phone call from school. :)

I'm Back.......

*Hello friends* Things around here have been busy. Jolie started cereal and she is sleeping really good. Last night she slept from 9pm to 5:20am! Jaelynn is going strong in basketball. She is a pretty good little player. We had to laugh at her the other day when she told us she really did not like getting sweaty. So, she might not play next year. Ha ha! Oh, Jaelynn that is SO girly!! We just told her give it one more year please. :) Jake finished up basketball and is getting ready for t-ball. He is so excited. Last night, in a Bible study at church, we talked a little bit about self confidence in our children. Oh, boy did it make me start thinking. When I was growing up I was VERY shy (I know a lot of you are shocked!), but I really was. I did not want others to look at me, talk to me, or get in front of people was a real fear!!! I really do not know when I just stopped caring what others thought. I think it was sometime my 11th grade year when I developed more confidence or maybe just did not care about their judgements! Well, anyway it is not that I did not struggle, but I just felt more comfortable in my own skin. Jaelynn on the other hand has so much confidence (not too much but just enough). I guess we did something right. She comes home with stories of what people said to her and her response back. WOW! You go girl! I just hope the older she gets she will continue to stand up for herself and her strong beliefs in God. Now Jake on the other is not so confident. It makes me so sad that no matter how we have tried to build him up and pray for him it is not enough to fill his cup! He is getting better and we see improvements slowly. Back to him being excited about t-ball. Jason and I were talking about the whole confidence thing and the business of our lives at points in the year (another subject to come). We both agreed that Jake would continue one sport each season....soccer in the Fall, basketball in the Winter, and t-ball in the Spring. I wish yall could see him when he comes off the field or court. His smile lights up his face and his eyes are shining. These are things that he is really good at doing and loves all of them! So, we will continue to pray for and hope that we are making the best parenting decisions that we can concerning all three of our children. Now, about the business of life....Jason and I have talked a lot about that the last few months. You know we have struggled with that for many years. We have both been very involved in different church ministries, committees, activities, etc.... which are not bad please do not get me wrong. But, when we realized we were only taking turns at being home with the kids and rarely all together..... something HAD to give!!!! So, ever since Jolie we have really cut back and said NO!!! It can be done. Wow- at the difference it has made on our family. Dinner together around the table, talking, playing games, reading books, tickling, wrestling, and just having FUN! Not that we never did those things before because we did a lot, but now it is all together. :) To end on a great note..here is what we did for Valentine's day. Let me just say I could not have asked for a more perfect present! Spending the day together...laughing, cuddling, walking at the park, and candlelight dinner. Awwww.. at the memories.

I hope everyone remembers to laugh with, hug on, and treasure your family today! :)

Guess who turned 4 months.....

Ok-the only person in our family that could...JOLIE! Isn't she adorable? She is full of smiles and LOTS of slobber. :) Jaelynn cut 2 teeth at 4 months. So, we think Miss Jolie is doing the same thing. She is chewing on everything and I did not realize that much slobber could come out of one baby. This is one of her favorite things to do right now....

touch her toes. I even got one of her sucking her big toe. YUCK! :) I will leave you with one of our favorite pictures. Tell me what you think...

Pretty Babies and Splish Splash

Here are my pretty babies all dressed up for my cousins wedding a few weekend ago. We have not been to many weddings in the last year or so. So, it was fun to really dress up for a 7 o'clock wedding and have fun at the reception eating all that yummy food. Isn't that why you go to the wedding anyway? Just kidding. Every time I come home from a wedding I love to relive our beautiful day. Aww...the memories. -Daddy's girls-

This was Jolie's first bath in the big tub. Thank you Mrs. Lauree! Well, she liked and didn't like it too. At first I think it scared her. She is used to bathing all cuddling in the kitchen sink. Where she laughs, coos, and has a great time. Here she was not secure I guess. Jaelynn was in there with her and I think that helped. Hopefully she will get used to it because she has WAY out grown the other little bathtub. :)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is my Dad's 63rd birthday! I am very thankful for my Daddy. We have not always seen eye to eye, but probably because we are both hard headed. We have worked through SO much throughout my teenager and adult years. I was the only one in our family that would tell him how I felt. Sometimes in a not so nice tone of voice. (Which got me in more trouble!) But, all those "lovely discussions" developed the relationship we have now. I love going to eat lunch with my Daddy. It is fun to laugh and be silly because that is who we are together! Which my mom thinks is too much sometimes. Hee hee! I am thankful that he has lived to see another wonderful year. There for several years we did not know how many lay ahead. He was a very sick man who has overcome many challenges. We are very thankful to the Mighty Healer and One and Only God for letting Daddy live for more years than he thought he would see. I hope he had a great party tonight. Happy birthday Daddy! I love you a bushel and peck and a hug around the neck!

New addiction

Ok- I just have to say I never wanted to get addicted to anything ever! But, I think I am addicted to two things reading and Facebook. Oh my! I just finished my 19th book in 3 and half months. Now, I can't wait to get my hands on another Karen Kingsbury book. About Facebook...my word it is ridiculous. I have my e-mail up and running ALL day everyday. That way I can see if Jason or one of the teachers e-mails me. Not that I sit and stare at it, but I can pass by and glance at it! Well, my inbox keeps FILLING up with Facebook stuff. Now let me tell you it is fun, but I can't get anything done! I have caught back up with friends I have not heard from since high school. You can IM each other, write quick messages on their "wall", give your status updates, etc... I might need therapy to wean myself off of the computer. Hee hee! If you have an account and I don't know send me a request...happy messaging!
