Oh my- it has been awhile!

I am so sorry I have not posted in forever. It has been pretty wild around here. I will post mostly with pictures that way you can see what we have been up to lately.
But-I have to tell you a funny conversation that happened yesterday on the way home from school. Jake wanted his window rolled down and since it was pretty I obliged. Jake: Ewww it smells like gas out there. (There is a big truck in front of us.)Jaelynn: Well, Jake the world is made up of gas. We breathe gas......
She goes into the whole way we get oxygen from trees and so on. Can you tell what she is studying in one of her classes? :)

Wow- She looked stunning! Way too grown up.

Tea Please

This weekend was very busy for us. Friday night the kids each had a friend to spend the night. It is always easier that way. So, no one gets left out. Jason went turkey hunting and shot one too! Yeah honey! Thus, leaving me with 5 kids all alone. They did wonderful and I was very proud of how everyone acted. On Saturday, we hosted a tea party for my mom and my mother-in-law. I had read in a magazine that we need to honor the grandparents who always help us out in our lives. They are the ones who babysit for free, help you in times of need, cook for you, and love on you! So, that is what we did. I made blueberry muffins, sugar cookies, white chocolate dipped strawberries, Ritz crackers, and pretzels. The kids wrote reasons why they love them and colored pretty cards. My Dad bought us Tulips (my favorite flower) for our centerpiece. I thought it turned out very nice. It was SO much fun. Thank you for ALL you do for our family. We love you dearly!! Here are some pictures of our precious time together:

My three blessings-

Granny (Jason's mom) and Jake
The Whole Crew

My Mom and Dad have started a tradition with Jaelynn. For every holiday or season they find her a tea set. This is her new one for Easter. Isn't it beautiful?
Grandme (my mom) and Jolie
Happy girl
Also, this weekend Jolie turned 6 months. My goodness she is already a half a year old! It is flying by and I don't like it! She is sitting up really good now, eating rice biscuits, all of stage 1 foods, starting to drink out of a sippie cup, babbling a lot, laughing so hard everyone laughs too, reaching for everything in front of her, and playing with lots of toys. 6 months and looking like Punky Brewster. :)

I hope y'all have a great week.
